English Department 2009-2010

The following information is for the 2009-2010 school year:

Department Goal:
We will have two common assessments by the end of the year that reflect our PLC focus on standards and pacing at each grade level.

Smart Goals:

• Increase the amount of students meeting the AMAO 1 or AMAO 2 target in 2010 by 5%.
• Increase the amount of students meeting the AMAO 3 in ELA 2010 by 5%.
• Increase percent profecient of-identified EL/Special Ed students in ELA CST in 2010 by 5%.
• On the August 2010 AYP report, Covina High School EL subgroup will meet safe harbor of 23%.

Anticipated Annual Performance Growth English Language Development

• AMAO 1 - From 61.2% in 2008-09 to 67.2% in 2009-10
• AMAO 2 - From 33.9% in 2008-09 to 38.9% in 2009-10
• AMAO 3 - From 13.6% in 2008-09 to 23.0% in 2009-10
