The Electives Department

The "Electives department" includes Art, Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Ec.), Music, Choral, Business, Computer Technology and Photography.

We are a diverse group that offers education and skill development in a variety of Career Pathways. We are a Vocational and Life skills department. Our classes offer accomodations in learning for all levels of student abilities. Some of these courses encourage students to obtain a lab fee.

The following is information for the 2009-2010 year:

Department Goal:
We will administer our PLC survey to the students in the Electives classes at the beginning of second semester '09 and begin compiling data from this survey.

Department Smart Goals:

Students taking Elective classes will score proficient or higher on the CAHSEE.
Revise and develop Electives survey to determine in the cirriculum is meeting our students' needs.
We will meet in out PLC's every Thursday.
